How to Print a Large Image on Multiple Pages
Printing a large image on multiple pages (also called "tiled printing") is one of the most common printing challenges. This guide walks you through every step.
What You'll Need
- A digital image (JPG, PNG, or WEBP)
- A regular home printer
- Standard A4 or Letter paper
- Scissors or paper trimmer
- Tape or glue stick
- A poster splitting tool like Split Poster
Step 1: Choose and Prepare Your Image
For a 2×2 poster: at least 2400×3400 pixels. For 3×3: at least 3600×5100 pixels. Higher resolution means sharper prints.
Step 2: Split Your Image
Go to splitposter.site. Upload your image, set your grid, preview the result, and download as PDF or PNG.
Step 3: Print Your Pages
Always print at 100% scale. Use "Best" quality settings. Matte photo paper produces the best results.
Step 4: Trim and Assemble
Lay out all pages, start from the top-left corner, overlap adjacent pages, and tape from the back.
